UK citizens are now 'Third Country Nationals' in the EU. You are limited to 90 days in every 180 days in the Schengen Zone. To stay longer, you *need* a visa. You can no longer just move to Spain or France without paperwork.

The Spanish Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) is excellent. It allows you to stay up to 5 years (initially 3 if applying from Spain) and offers a special tax rate (Beckham Law) of 24% on income up to €600k. You must prove you work for companies outside Spain.
